On 3 September 2026, transport, terminal and training leaders from across Australia’s dangerous goods sector will gather at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast for the SLP National Industry Conference. Relevate Consulting is one of the exhibitors and here’s why fleet and logistics operators should talk to us.
- SLP sets the safety and compliance bar for bulk fuel transport in Australia and 2026 has brought new changes such as new card fees, an updated Operating Guideline and a bigger national conference
- Compliance is only one part of a wider systems problem facing fleet and logistics operators – from Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations to maintenance schedules and driver records
- Relevate builds fleet management software, transport compliance systems and real-time dashboards that bring it all into one connected platform
- Relevate is exhibiting at the SLP Annual Conference on the Gold Coast, 3 September 2026 – Visit us on Stand 103
What is the Safe Load Program?
The Safe Load Program (SLP) is Australia’s industry standard training, driver identification and vehicle compliance system for bulk fuel transport; a joint venture owned by Ampol Australia, BP Australia and Viva Energy Australia. Any driver entering a BP, Viva Energy, Ampol or Mobil terminal to load bulk fuel needs a current SLP Driver ID, on top of a Dangerous Goods (Bulk) Driver’s Licence, five completed Load Training modules, and a vehicle that passes SLP’s random compliance inspections.
Changes in 2026
SLP cards are only part of what a transport or logistics business must track. Vehicle maintenance schedules, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, driver hours, fuel and cost reporting, customer and terminal communications. Most fleet operators are still running these across a patchwork of excel spreadsheets, whiteboards and disconnected software instead of a proper transport management system. This resonates with most in the heavy vehicle transport industry: nobody has a single source of truth; renewals get missed and management is making decisions without real visibility of what’s happening on the road.
This is the gap Relevate wants to close and it’s the conversation we want to have with fleet and logistics operators at the SLP Conference.
How Can Relevate Help?
One system for fleet, compliance and people
Rather than juggling separate tools for scheduling, maintenance and driver records, Relevate builds and implements fleet management software on Zoho and other platforms that brings transport compliance tracking and CRM into one connected transport management system. Driver accreditation status, vehicle inspection dates and terminal relationships live in the same place your team already works
Automated scheduling, maintenance and renewals
We automate the manual admin that eats up transport and logistics teams time such as trip and delivery scheduling, fleet maintenance tracking and renewal reminders for licences, inspections and accreditations so nothing falls through the cracks
Real-time dashboards for safety and performance
Relevate builds dashboards and KPI reporting that give operations managers live visibility of fleet utilisation, delivery timelines, heavy vehicle compliance and operating costs; replacing outdated reporting with real time decisions
Connected teams, from the cab to head office
Cloud based logistics software connects drivers, field crews and head office in real time, with self-service portals for contractors and customers – the same model that helped one Relevate client scale from 20 clients to over 200 without adding headcount
The Result? Improved safety and CoR compliance record keeping, lower admin overheads, faster delivery times and full visibility of how every vehicle and driver is being used.
Come Find Us at the SLP Annual Conference – 3 September at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, Gold Coast.
Relevate will be exhibiting at this year’s SLP National Industry Conference on Stand #103. If you are attending as a transport operator, terminal partner or fleet manager, drop by the Relevate stand. We would love to hear your challenges and demonstrate how a properly connected fleet and compliance system looks like in reality.
As a Zoho Premium Partner and digital transformation consultancy already working with mining and transport organisations across Australia, we understand the pressures unique to this industry.
Conclusion
SLP sets the safety and compliance bar for bulk fuel transport and staying on top of it is non-negotiable. But compliance is only manageable at scale when it’s built into the fleet management software and transport systems your business runs on every day, not added as admin. That’s what Relevate helps transport and logistics companies build. If you are on the Gold Coast this September, come and see us.
