On the 31st of March, at 1.30 am, I celebrated the birth of my baby girl. The next five days were a blur, late nights, broken sleep and dirty nappies. But through effective systemisation and automated reporting I was able to leave my business completely and not worry about anything. I am only a year into owning my first ever business, a cafe, and have already reduced my time requirements there to around 10 hours per week including all admin time.
Being efficient saves you money and money buys you time. Even if my wife and I were not expecting, I could have spent that time exercising, fishing or working on the next marketing campaign to drive sales and growth in the business.

Time begets time and money begets money. Start with five minutes a day. Get on to LastPass. It is a password vault that will save you just five minutes a day, and in the long run allow you to access more services. It remembers everything you use and allows you to catalogue all of your internet logins. It’s great for those occasional sites like ASIC, MyGov or that obscure purchase you made once and had to create login. By the way it’s free. I like free.
